Pyro you dont really want a solution and I do not want to take a risk with my childrens future do you? You need to face facts neither side we are prime examples of the attitude about wanting a solution...your previous comments speaks volumes and the truth about your real feelings, the comment about wanting for future generations is just passing the buck.

let's just get this straight. no right minded person would want to share any kind of future with u or people who think like u. that's not a solution. that's a nightmare. far better to have u festering in an unrecognised ghetto-come-latrine. capiche?

Actually it is your side that doesn't want a solution because by stealing lands and properties you thought that one day they will be legally yours. You have the immediate benefits from depriving my OWN RIGHTS by selling or utilizing the Kypreos stolen properties, and you have a slight chance -that's by your own thinking- of securing those benefits for your future generations.

Contrary to you I do want a solution knowing very well that while I will get my rights back, i will not have any immediate benefits from them, all the benefits will come in the long run and hence the future generations will be the ones to enjoy them.Furthermore all the difficulties and costs of having a solution will be on my generation for the following 10 years at least.

Do you now get it?

And stop this tune that neither side wants a solution. Not every Kibrisli is a crook who for obvious reasons don't want a solution. The rest of the Kibrislis do want a solution just like the majority of Kypreos for EXACTLY the same reasons. The problem is you and your likes among the Kibrislis and TUrkey.

We said yes to a comprehensive solution what have you done?

You want to dominate like you did back in the 1960s 1970s, we will never be placed in the straight jacket ever again...your economists disagree with you about the benefit that both sides would reap from a solution but hey your complaining only confirms that subconsciously you would rather agreed partition was reality as you do not really want to share equally with TCs.

And stop this tune that neither side wants a solution. Not every Kibrisli is a crook who for obvious reasons don't want a solution. You only kid yourself do you think that if the majority form both sides wanted a solution they would not of obtained it a long time ago....people that want to unite would do so tomorrow.

2)Yes you know everything, you must know this as well.
3)Try it with a Turkish bullet in your head.

Not what the world thinks, it was a UN prepared comprehensive solution plan, the only one we ever had the chance to vote on we said yes and you said no.

2)Yes you know everything, you must know this as well.

I know you dont want to share equally.

3)Try it with a Turkish bullet in your head.

Same as a GC bullet you have 12,000 armed soldiers and 100,000 armed reservists.

I agree that BBF with political equality of the two states is on offer but failure to agree time after time will only prove our differences are irreconcilable and that an alternative needs to be found this can take many shapes one of which is agree division for land.

Actually, I didn't say that the UN will mediate forever. I said that I did not believe the GCs will walk away from BBF even if it failed to reach a settlement 10 times over. The UN cannot unilaterally just give away others land to someone else just because the parties cannot reach a settlement. If that was the case, all one party has to do to receive a "windfall land" that belongs to others, is to refuse to agree to any reasonable settlement. The UN may pull their peace keepers out, but that's about it, and if the shit hits the fan in Cyprus or even if it doesn't, then perhaps we'll get the equivalent of "EUFOR" for Cyprus from the EU . Maybe that's what the EU is planning which Turkey won't like it one little bit, but what can they do. As long as you have not given up your Taksim dreams, there always going to be "irreconcilable differences" that cannot be bridged. If on the other hand you will let go of your Taksim dreams, Cyprus can have the same Democratic and equal citizenship that can be found in any of the EU countries. Keep in mind, that Cyprus is in the EU, which you very often choose to forget, which then your are led to other fantasy plans that cannot be accepted, specially by the EU, if not by the GCs themselves.

Viewpoint wrote:The EU has brought nothing to the table, in fact the dream that it would solve all the GC problems by crushing Turkey soon evaporated and after 7 years and no advancements i think the GCs now have the message that without the two sides agreement nothing will materialize.

I think the EU has brought plenty to the table which plans such as the AP can never be proposed as a settlement. It's called the EU Principles. The EU also gave Cyprus a massive political capital to level the playing field with Turkey after Turkey held all the cards. They still hold the military power card in Cyprus, but has lost all their political power to control their own destiny towards the EU membership. It's true the EU has not taken a immediate stand against Turkey, but through Cyprus, the EU has placed itself in a position to hold the "EU carrot" in front of Turkey in exchange for them to leave Cyprus. Turkey can only for so long not take the bite. The EU does not need to pick a military fight with Turkey. A political fight will yield better results in the end. That's how Cyprus benefit by being in the EU.

Viewpoint wrote:As an average TC who resides in the TRNC I have absolutely no expectations of finding a solution, both sides do not have the capacity desire or will to agree a solution let alone stick by it. We are kidding ourselves thinking that both sides want to unite and live together, to much water has passed under the bridge and the majority of people dont give a fig, all they think about is which restaurants to eat at, where to go at the weekend and where to go on holiday.

It is possible those TCs who have gained a lot more than what they had with the GCs properties in the north, either through "exchange" or just direct purchases of GC land, do not want a solution, because it would mean that they will have to give them back, or at the very least pay the original owners today's market prices with their money they do not have, therefore, those who fall under those circumstances would rather keep everything as is by not wanting a settlement. They are just looking at their short term gains and having no clue regarding to long term loses. Then there are those like yourself who would never want to have a settlement unless it is either an agreed partition or something like the AP which would have been also a partition but leaving Turkey in charge of the whole island, making the TCs as their favourite "step children" at least for a while anyway before you were also to become the "black sheep step children" just as the GCs would have been from day one.

As for those just enjoying the high society life living off their parents money whether it was hard earned, not so hard earned given to them by Turkey as a public worker, or Haram money from dealing with stolen GCs properties. This life of luxury cannot go on for ever, as Greece has found out, so don't bet on these lifestyle to continue for the young TCs for too long, because dark clouds are already in the skies and they are getting darker by the minute. Without a sound economic future for the young TCs in Cyprus, they will end up in a foreign land before too long or learn to live like the how most Turks live in Turkey if there isn't a settlement anytime soon

Kikapu we are no nearer a solution pre or post EU so the EU has not brought about the solution GCs thought it would. You can paint is every color in the rainbow but your words mean nothing as a solution is not even remotely possible.
