Not as long as the Taksim Dream is alive.

Has Eroglu walked away from his Taksim Dreams yet.?

Your Circular Logic:

1. The desired solution is agreed partition.
2. The talks are going nowhere because the Republic won't agree to Turkey's terms.
3. Therefore no solution is possible.
4. Therefore the only solution is agreed partition.

It has a bizarre logic, I'll give you that. But really it's just a logical nonsense that belongs in 'Alice in Wonderland'.

VP you are totally underestimating the importance of EU to Turkey.
You are right that Turkey would love to raise a middle finger to the EU in fact they think they are already doing it, and in fact they think they might have other options like for example turning east.

The point is the World has already been DIVIDED into economic zones. Those are mainly the US, the EU, China and the oil producing countries. Some other countries affecting international economy like Russia,Japan, Korea, Australia, etc are just stand alone countries without the zone factor hence of limited power. Within these zones are where money is getting fabricated. Either you belong to one of these or you are doomed.
Turkey does not belong to any, and depends militarily on the US. With all these economic crises-that trust me they will NEVER go away, they are the very result of these economic zones-America will sooner or later withdraw her military support to Turkey because they themselves would not be able to afford it anymore.

Imo Turkey should feel lucky that she has an EU option. All her neighboring countries don't have such a lucky option and never will.
Why lucky? Because economics will be speaking in the next decade or so. And that's when Turkey will be begging to have her EU road finalized. That's when the party, and her dancing will begin.

NB. Do you think that all those cuts to the occupied were accidental? Of course not.Turkey already realized she must start making cuts. And the very first option were the occupied.Watch her making cuts everywhere in Turkey soon. Watch those cuts escalating and escalating year after year.

Let me clarify simply so that even you can understand,

BBF with political equality of the 2 states is on offer.

The GCs will never agree to it.

Leaves agreed land for recognition deal.

Let me clarify so that even you can understand, VP. A BBF of two states is not on the table. This is a myth the T/C leadership have been peddling for years. What you can't seem to get into your tiny brain is that what people mean by a BBF post-Annan is a federal unified state. At least that's what it means now that Cyprus is in the EU. The dirty big secret that the Turkish leadership won't mention to gullible fools like VP is that the only thing on the table is a unified state: ie. a single sovereignty. Got it now?

Has anyone told you there will be one federal state? Therefore one sovereignty.
