Yes the Kibrisli teachers are astonishingly very progressive.The Kypreos ones are representatives of conservatism. I wouldn't say the majority are nationalists but i would definitely say the majority have a fascist mentality that they get from Greece where most of them studied.
Kokkinochoria as you know are the core villages of the Eoka "heroes". I am ure Sevgul would be most welcome in other schools.
And yes unfortunately the church has a say in our educational system (only in our educational system? the damn priests are everywhere -you name it hotels, banks, real estates...) to the point that "relegious knowledge" is perhaps the only lesson that we are taught from 1st grade elementary school to the last grade of high school. And what do we learn from that? i personally learned nothing.
