I've noticed a worrying amount of ex pat men recently who have taken to wearing not only socks with sandles but to have said socks pulled up as far as they can go.

This is nearly always combined with the usual shorts/polo shirt combo

add sunglasses, beer belly, and red nose from too much sun/alcohol and its like a identi kit !

it makes playing the game of "guess the tourist/ ex pat" far too easy!

Cyprus receives 100s of thousands of tourists and there are many 1000s of permanent residents from the UK. Not all look like that Those are just a small subset I believe. Where are you from?

Those are the best type of tourist you can get middle aged or older and alcoholic.The worst "tourists" are hippie back packer scum who forage in dumpsters for food, busk even though they have zero talent and sleep on the street.
