How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Illegal Regime Bans Footballer From Crossing

Postby bill cobbett » Wed Jun 29, 2011 12:40 am

The Illegal Regime has shown more lack of Goodwill at these sensitive times by stopping a footballer, Mustapha Yansises, from crossing in to the Free Areas of the Republic to attend a Practise Session (!). This chap has signed a 4 year deal with a Larnaca club and the ban is clearly designed to stop him taking up his contract.

BC, why are we even considering using TCs in any sport this side. For once I agree with them.

We are our own worst enemies. Turkey must be throwing somersaults at our stupidity, really.

I do not see it that way. If he is a true Kibrisli ( and not a settler) who is entitled to be a citizen of the Republic why should he not play for any Club within the Republic? IMHO to object on the basis he is a Kibrisli is racist. If he is an illegal immigrant aka settler aka "new T/C" he should not be permitted to play.

By offering him a position the Club have shown a commitment to re-unification while by banning him from travel the TC puppet state and its masters are showing a commitment to partition.

He should of course pay ROC taxes, which would repesent a personal recognition of the ROC and that is possibly what the the psuedo-state and its masters are frightened of.

Most teams here are full of foreigners B25, so I don't see a problem with using one of our own.

War time brings many inconveniences unfortunately. It's not as simple as you make out.

If the north was our own country free from the occupying sh*t then they can move to wherever the hell they want.

I object to this two faced business of keeping the north at ransom, yet enjoying the benefits the south offers.

If we must stop the cypriots moving around their own country as a sacrifice, then so be it.

there are a lot of angles from which you could view the present situation.

TC talent draining from the North and enriching the South whilst indirectly recognizing the legitimate RoC.

They soon recognise it when they are collecting their pensions, free medicals and passports.

Any other time, they would f*ck us. Just ask VP, he represents the average TC, where he doesn't even want Greek spoken for his kids to hear! Pft.

VP is an Anatolian.
Of course he'd want that.
