How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Rising Tensions in the Occupied Areas

Postby bill cobbett » Sat Jun 25, 2011 12:21 pm

Reported in the press in the Occupied Areas that tensions are rising following the arrests of a trade unionist in the Teachers Union and of a CTP party member in the wake of the demo at the EMU earlier in the week.

..."Havadis reports that the Turkish Cypriot Secondary School Teachers’ Trade Union (KTOEOS) member Tahir Gokcebel was arrested. A member of the party council of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) Dervis Aygin was also arrested on the grounds that they used violence against police and prevented them from doing their duty during the incidents which took place the day before yesterday at the Eastern Mediterranean University (“DAU”).

Tension was created yesterday at KTOEOS headquarters in Turkish-held Nicosia between members of the Trade Unions’ Platform and the police because of the warrant of arrest against Gokcebel and Aygin.

The trade unionists prevented police from entering the building

KTOEOS described the developments as “steps of fascism” and “policy of intimidation”...

No mate. May surprise you to know that don't like Police States, especially ones in the control of Occupation Powers... and don't like CYs being beaten up and arrested on trumped up political charges on the orders of the Turkish Governor of the Occupied Areas.

So you support CYs being beaten up by the "police" of the Occupation Army ? ... cos you don't seem to be condemning these atrocious actions.

Why were they beaten up? did you bother to find out? or could it be you are always ready to blame the authorities to boost your own biased ego.

That's the only way you can justify what happens in the north - by making irrelevant comparisons with the ROC. The crunch will come when a few TC police refuse to act against their own people and the metmecik are forced to keep order - then the sparks will fly.

Why are they being beaten up? ... Very simply cos they are CYs who are fed up to the back teeth with the Turkish Occupation and if you resist Turkey and tell Turkey to GO ASIHKTIR, then we all know the consequences, the ugly reaction from the "authoritities".

You still ain't answered the question... do you support these CYs getting beaten up???????
