Rising Tensions in the Occupied Areas

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

They had better not take down any flags either, as we all know what happens then.

Bill, how can you sympathise with collaborators???
Like I said before, they made their beds and now they can lie in them. VP is a turk, he cares not for the average TC. Oh and wheres, Birkturk to give us his evaluation, I always mis them, especially his colourful language :) :)

Guess am a forgiving kinda guy brother... and protests are good, whatever they are about, whenever common people take to the streets and give it to the man, something good may come of it... guess it's called change and perhaps change for the better, change to break the deadlock and a change to get around the likes of Two Countries VP, The Illegal Settlers, Turkey and Errogluey.

Perhaps it's time to forgive, but not forget, time to move on, time to reach out to the other man a bit, and see what the reaction is, who knows perhaps the other man will offer something in return. Perhaps he will, perhaps he won't but the other man at the mo needs to be tested to see what he's prepared to offer.

So guess for now perhaps it's time to get behind Pres X and his rights-based BBF and support the CYs in the Occupied Areas telling Turkey to GO ASIHKTIR.

As for Bir... dunno, but guess like you and me or any other members, he may have his negotiating position and his own mad method of getting to reconciliation and reunion (just like moi).

Perhaps you are right about the forgiving bit, but it always comes back to me, would VP be as forgiving??? He represents the average TC as we are told by many here. So, net conclusion, we have a large bunch of unforgiving VPs then, wouldn't you say. Would you turn your back on him? He even approves of the beatings the TCs are getting and the other ill treatment they get from Turkey. Forgive, dunno mate, seems a hard thing to do.

Well not gonna even try and speak for VP as he's around and the only one who can answer the question you ask... but if Pyrpo is to be believed, some 30% of the CYs living under the Occupation have similar uncompromising views and the same taksim dreams and perhaps are the same kinda trouble-makers who will stir up problems in a reunified state, but a rights-based BBF does offer one or two advantages to the Good People of the Free Areas in that at least they have a chance of confining the influence of these scallywags to a northern zone, (one whose area is commensurate to population proportions by the way, ain't gone totally soft and cuddly).

it's just as well they're safely contained, away from civilised society, in an open air prison.

Well yes quite, may also say and really want to stress this, so far from the other 70% have heard nothing as to what they offer the other man.

So far it's all been pretty selfish; too much concern about comfy jobs for life in the civil service, with some sucker other than Turkey picking up the tab. Too much about rights without acknowledging the rights of the other man, too much about autonomy within the EU for a northern statelet... There's a long way to go.

Has VP come out and condemned these brutal attacks on CYs yet?
