Thats 14km there and back... beat that! :p hehe ;)

Christos je Panayia! ... that must, in the main, be the most unattractive, noisiest, most air polluted road in the whole of CY (imho).

There's also a nice path along the Pediaios river in suburban Nicosia. It must be around 10km after the expansion. :)

... and just who in their right mind for nine months of the year would want to walk along a dry river, in the baking hot CY interior, in 40 degrees of heat other than mad dogs and ...oh... sort of me....(!!!)

... can't beat a short evening stroll of 1km along Phinikouthes in Larnaca.

There's also the Troodos mountain trails option. :D

If you are that crazy and like exercise think about joing the Hash House Harriers who are as pleasant a bunch of loonies you could ever hope to meet: there are a number of hashes all over Island , with Amathus, Dehkalia, Episkopi, Happy Valley, Kition, Larnaca , Nicisosia, and Polygon (and the Pan-Selenos).

"If you have a half a mind to go hashing ,,,, that is all you need!"

With the hash you can run, jog walk, stagger for about an hour or so and then enjoy liquid refereshement: each of the hashes has a slightly differnt ethos, in particular in the post-hash get together which range from a civilised drink and chat at Epi leading through to a full blown circle where "wanker'" is term of affection and the mickey can otherwise be unmercifally extracted.
