Have you heard of the huge new reservoir to take water from Turkey?

For crying out loud if we unify don't you think we should open all learning institutions up to all those cypriots who wish to attend tertiary education?

I am finding Turkish speaking Cypriots more and more racists than even the most ardent fascists of Greek speaking descent.

Perhaps the CY Mail and Basheeali have an agenda fileh.

Bur seriously...   ....

Isn't this all the CYs living in the Occupied Areas have had for the past few decades... promises, empty promises, empty, blustery promises from a Regime that lines its own pockets first and which can't deliver...

Heaven knows it no longer wants to pay people's salaries ... and all the VPs of this world can do is offer more empty promises of hooooge eeeeeeencreeses in tourism, year after year that don't arrive, .... massive water pipe from Turkey ....how many times have we heard that one over the years?

Meanwhile the villages like Morphou carry on disintegrating, despite the .... oh....! .... more promises of investment... but there's always money around for even more mosques (rather than schools) and loads of statues to Ataducky.

"in 2004 ...."

This only shows how ridiculous it is to have 2 separate referendums along ethnic lines.

The "deadlock" in resolving the Cyprus problem is a contrieved situation to maintain the status quo.

To be successful remove the most obvious barrier to a solution....Why the hell are there two separate referendums .

If anyone is serious about wanting a solution, then there must be fewer barriers and steps.

Conducting a separate referendum for each ethnic group is discriminatory and racist and designed to cause division not foster unity. Separate referenda require three majorities.

This is the problem federations have in a referendum. There is a hurdle at every step. Look at the history of Australian federal referendums.Only 18% have been carried. To date there have been 44(since 1901)but only 8 have been passed successfully.

I can't believe that the Cyprus Mail has descended to these levels and started discussing that Morphou will not be on offer in the future.

Last time I checked, the Cyprus Question is one of invasion, ethnic cleansing and occupation.

I might decide to offer Tasmania to the TCs, and then withdraw the offer in the future, but who am I to be making such offers and with what power, and hence, how can a such a defunct offer be withdrawn? Are we mixing up reality with someone's own personal opinion now?
