If you really want to get their attention then what is needed is some action by people in Cyprus against the bases. Lets go in en mass with trucks and shovels and start destroying their antennas and equipment and make them understand that they can not have a trouble free time in Cyprus and at the same time be best friends with the Turkish invaders. We should demand that they take their responsibility as guarantors of the sovereignty of Cyprus or else they are not welcomed here anymore.
Actually some of them do care about Cyprus, my late father's MP, Roger Gale, for instance.
Whilst I'm not against the protest you propose destruction of Base property will only alienate the UK Government, British residents and tourists. The Turks will simply point to it as an example of GC agression and it is bound to have consequences for the hundreds of Cypriots who work at the bases.
Ultimately the Cyprus Problem will have to be resolved by talking, it's not a good idea follow the Turkish example of using physical means to solve it.
Such problems are not solved by talking. We talk for 37 years and nothing came out of this talks!
