Where Will Erdogan Go Next?????

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Where Will Erdogan Go Next?????

Postby bill cobbett » Mon Jun 13, 2011 12:57 am

Now with alleged elections out of the way in Turkey, and with Erdotnuc the outright winner again, albeit by less than he expected, where will he go next on CY?

To progress its EU candidacy will Turkey open ports and airspace? ... and in return for what?

I know VP, for totally irrational reasons, will disagree, but stories that have been appearing in the Turkish press over the last couple of months indicate that Turkey will open ports and airspace to the RoC. I think they may even do this unilaterally and thus put pressure on the RoC to reciprocate in some way.

Well yeah, the RoC will also open it's ports and airspace to Turkey also, as well as Turkey's path to EU membership.!

The opening of ports and airspace, is unconditional. They agreed to do it and should not expect anything in return.

Turkey is the invader, occupier and downright crrok here, don't let us start negotiating with terrorists.

Simples, Turkey out of Cyprys and take VP and Bananiotoglu with ya!

I agree, but we are the only ones that see it that way, so the "International Community" will expect something from the RoC.

Erm... elections that are within the limits of such things as restrictions on a free press and free self-expression, obstruction of Kurdish representation must fear be rightly called "alleged" elections.

... but anyway perhaps Erdotnuc will now move on to these internal matters to progress EU candidacy, as well as putting the squeeze on Errorgluey to show some movement in Geneva on the 7th July.

We can "reciprocate" by unblocking one of the frozen accession chapters - a minor one. That way nothing really changes but we are seen to be responding.
