Only the Federal USA Government can sign treaties with other nations. Individual states can negotiate business dealings with other countries as long as they are within the Federal guidelines. In other words, if the US government has sanctions against another country or tariff disputes, a Federal state cannot go behind the US government back and do business with the country in dispute against Federal guidelines. But for ALL treaties, that is only done by the US government with the backing of the US congress in most of the cases of course, which include members from ALL the Federal states. Such an agreement must not happen in Cyprus where each state can make treaties with other countries. Next thing you know, the north state will invite Turkey to have a base in Cyprus.

The Native Americans have their own nation within the USA, which is independent from the USA, and even they cannot sign treaties with other nations, just the ones they signed back when with United States. Most of them are not even US citizens and if they wish to travel abroad, they are required to obtain US citizenships, which many Native Americans resent.

Proves my point 100%.

What is your point.??

that's just racist. why aren't maronites or armenians represented? i reckon a couple of tcs should drop out and let some other minorities share the house too. tcs more than most should know it's wrong to exclude the smaller communities of cyprus.

How the federal level can restrict the states.

If you mean that the Federal government will prevent you from practicing racist, undemocratic and Human Rights violation or any other violations outside Federal guidelines on your fellow citizens, then you better believe that the Federal government will hang you by your balls, assuming you got some. One more reason why you liked the AP, because there were no hierarchy laws between the states and the Federal Government, which meant that you could do what ever you wanted by declaring that each state were independent and sovereign states. Federal constitution and it's guidelines will be agreed on by the parties during the settlement talks, which means that TCs will also agree to them. I know it is hard for someone like to accept, who are used to living in a corrupted society to fathom Rule of Law, but that's what you will get under a True Federation, Rule of Law. Learn to live with it.
