TITLE DEEDS

Postby sylvia » Tue Jun 07, 2011 10:07 am

I missed an announcement by the minister re long overdue title deeds. Can anybody tell me if the minister advised all wihtout deeds to go to the land registry and pick up a form, fill it in and then their title deeds would be issued.???????

I have no idea if there would be a further property inspection or how long from the completed form it would actually take to obtain our deeds. I have been waiting 20 years......what a joke

Anyway is the above true

You need to fill a form in order to be eligible to later apply for title deeds. I believe the deadline to submit this initial form is October, but I am not sure. It will not be as easy as just submitting a form and then getting the title deeds. The amnesty covers specific issues, not everything, so they will make sure that you meet the conditions before issuing the deeds. Expect this to take a while!

thank you for the info. In my heart I knew it could not be that simple. You see our developer some 22 years ago has built extra and therefore has to find the land!!!!! He has no intention of doing this as he has been taken to court, we won, but the court order was not upheld.....

Never mind, we were teenagers when we bought this property now we are pensioners...lol
