APOLOGY & RETRACTION

On about 1st or 2nd of June, 2011 I made 2 postings on the website Cyprus Forum, a long established but low ranking internet forum frequented mostly by individuals from Cyprus and the UK, and to which I am a frequent contributor.

The comments made were without anyone else’s knowledge.

It has now been brought to my attention that these postings are considered as highly defamatory and offensive to Mr Anthony Maras and to his father, Mr Theo Maras.

To them, the comments made were considered highly intemperate, ridiculous and completely and utterly false.

I also understand that these comments caused distress to both Anthony and Theo Maras.

I sincerely and unreservedly apologise to them and other readers of Cyprus Forum who may have been offended or misled by what was posted on that website.

As you are obviously aware, I feel passionate about the Cyprus Question, understandably since our families and others have suffered during the 1974 Turkish invasion and because a great injustice persists.

I have today personally undertaken to both Anthony and Theo Maras that any remarks of a personal nature to them will not occur again, whether on Cyprus Forum or otherwise.
