Lefka FC negotiating to join Cypriot League…

RIK1 news just reported that TC football team Lefka FC is negotiating with KOP to commence playing for the national Cypriot league in the new season despite the risk of being banned from the TC league.

I can predict a few issues with this such as home ground, division placement/evaluation, and the overall long-term commitment required that the TC players may not be able to fully adhere to.

Anyway, it’s an interesting development and a very courageous move by the team’s decision makers.

I hope everything goes well and the Cypriot league becomes more colorful with the addition of a TC team.

Any move is a good move .......... it is a real shame that Eroglu cannot see that most of his TC constituents want a united Cyprus instead of him supporting Turkish interests

If as accordıng to Yfred, the Lurucına team were turned down, what hope has Lefka got? Good luck to them. I am not sure what the authorities in the north would do, but maybe they are sounding out the RoC football federation.

Still don't trust them though. Apparently they are withdrawing citizenship from the 644 TCs who voted in the latest RoC elections - as if they are in need of the northern status. Some of these TC's are not even allowed to enter the north. Winds of Change? God only knows.
