With D's permission I enclosed a copy of his post. I suggested that what Turkey was doing out of step with a just resolution of the Cyprus Problem. I asked what they were doing to prevent this illegal colonisation of Cyprus by Turkey.

I received a stock letter from my MP that completely ignored my question so I wrote to him again. He replied saying that he would forward my letter to David Lidington the Minister at the Foreign Office responsible for Cyprus - so far no reply from the Minister.

Commissioner Fule (Directorate of General Enlargement) asked Michela Di Bucci to respond to my letter. Again no specific response to my question about Turkish colonisation.

Nirj Deva is the only MEP to reply so far and once again failed to respond to my question about the illegal colonisation of Cyprus.

I'm beginning to wonder if any of these politicians really care about what is going on in Cyprus. Are they hoping that the ROC will eventually give in to Turkish domination once the Turkish population of Cyprus has reached, say, one million.

If anyone is interested I'll post the replies I received here on CF, in the meantime a few more letters from Cyprus and the Diaspora could just kick their arses into gear.

Hi Jerry,

I would appreciate if you would post some of your replies. I am surprised at the responses from these people; and I wonder why? :?

Deniz, Bill, sorry about delay in reply, I've been catching up on lost sleep following my first ever trip to the US.

I wrote to my MEPs, you can find all their contact details here, http://www.europarl.org.uk/section/your-meps/your-meps .I also wrote to my MP, Damian Green, David Cameron, William Hague, Ed Milliband, and Commissioner Fule of the EU. The entire theme of my letters was the illegal colonisation of Cyprus by Turkey and I enclosed a copy of Deniz's post to support it. Below are the replies I received.

Cyprus, letter from Nirj Deva.jpg

I'll post any more replies I get Deniz. I will e-mail Nirj Deva again asking why he made no mention of the illegal colonisation of Cyprus - after all the whole island is in the EU. I wonder how the EU would respond if the ROC started dishing out passports to mainland immigrants who then "legally" moved to other EU countries - makes you think eh!

Hi Jerry,
Do you remember a few weeks ago,in the UK, where a judge refused to send a burglar to jail, because he had human rights.....he was a father of 'x' number of children. When your correspondences are saying 'matters will be solved when re-unification occurs', I can imagine the EU 'stating the Human right of these settlers. Just mark my word.

That's right you cheap skate - buy a cheap carpet just like you probably bought a cheap house that was probably built on stolen (not liberated) land: the man who buys from a thief is at least as bad as a thief, if not worse.
