Or the other side of the coin is that the GCs are the intrangient side and that the chasm is just to wide to ever be bridged.

Any negotiation aiming at finding a solution with peaceful means assumes that both sides have the same problem. Turkey managed to slip out of the Cyprus problem by presenting it as just a difference between the 2 communities on how to govern themselves and resolve issues guarantying their safety etc. That was the reason Turkey supposedly "interfered".

I think by now everybody who matters including the UN realized that this is simply not true.
The REASON why it is impossible to find a solution to the Cyprus problem with peaceful means, is not because it is a bicommunal issue but because by 90% it is a problem of invasion-occupation and illegal settlement .And that both her and their puppets as well as the settlers want to legalize the results of the invasion and get their own separate state on stolen lands and properties.

I think it's about time the UN come out openly and state these simple truths.

You are raised to believe this....Turkey was not around during the 1960s when the 2 main communities had the opportunity to unite and build one nation but both sides messed up big time and division occurred. Today you still have the opportunity to impress the TCs to a degree where they will want to unite, yet what you offer is not desired to a degree that would get the TCs to sign on the dotted line, can you tell me why they GCs cannot do this?
