Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

Why not Island hop by ferries from Limmasol to Greece/Italy and then buses or trains to where you want to go? Stay in hostels and small b and bs and really see the country you are in.
Would not recomend the romania areas due to criminal activities etc.
You could maybe buy a small car in Athens to use for your trip and then sell it on when you have finished.

For maps I would use GPS. About no proper English thats the case with most countries...

Buying and selling a car would be too much trouble and a small car might not be up to the task. If I was renting I would rent a nice car. Hostels are not my thing either ... I did consider trains and buses but I didn't find any nice ones that would make such routes. Anybody knows?

you don't need to buy a car..bus services and train are excellent ( i mean in italy)
i could help you if you tell me which countries you prefer to visit.
ferryboats from Salonicco or Lefkada to Italy are good and confortable.

Thanks Daniella but I've been to Italy twice the last few years and I want to go to some different places this time. I know you have good trains there, I traveled with Trenitalia ES trains ... i think thats how they were called.

How they looked did not concern me ;) But since you mention it, I went tourist in Italy and I didn't have to use an adapter to charge my mobile while in my own home I have to!

You don' t need to use an adapter, just stick a BIC Biro in the big hole and then insert the 2-pin jobby, like everyone else does.
