Hi Mark,

We usually stay the other side of the island, but you should be able to buy a pint of keo for around 2 euro. Shop around though, as you'll find lots of places doing special offers.

Can I also suggest you try the Cypriot food? Chicken souvla is simply barbecued chicken - Cyprus style, and really delicious - much better than plan old KFC or grilled chicken. Stifado is a brilliant beef dish. Also look for kleftiko and afelia, and of-course moussaka.

Or why not have a meze? This basically involves being brought small portions of anything up to 30 dishes. Don't fill up on bread!!! Cyprus food is truly delicious - you won't be disappointed.

Again shop around and see what's on offer. Enjoy!

Oh - quick ps - Bottled keo is (in my opinion) better than draught. Always drink it with a small glass though - not a pint glass. In the supermarkets you'll pay about 1.50 euros for a large bottle, but will pay between 3 and 4 euros in the bars (pretty much the same mark up as the UK really).

Also, confirming what Sotos said - avoid tourist areas, but this can mean just nipping up side roads. We once found a terrific taverna in Paphos which was literally on a side street off the main strip.

Alternatively just stick to the old town.

Also, there's a website called Paphos-eating with loads of reviews of tavernas. Well worth a look.

Pafos is no different in prices than Nic or Lim only if you are in tourist area it will be quite higher, now that there is English super markets you can buy what you want in fairly decent law prices!!! get your beer stacked in your house but prices for a pint range 2-3 euros and a bottle is usually 4 euro

Lidl is for British cheapskates. I hope you don't shop there. :x

Who cares, if you save some money and the beer tastes ok go for it

yeah and from the whiff the 29c beer seems to contain that well known liquid additive, K9-P.
