First Ever Job

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

My first (at 14?) was packing thousands of football cards (5 or 6 and a flat bubble gum p/pack) for peanuts during school summer holidays. Smoking on the job was not on because of all the paper lying around so I was taking so many smoke breaks that the boss fired me within two weeks!

I'm sure you meant to say, that your 1st job was AS a French roulette dealer for $500 a week and not that your 1st job was a French roulette dealer for £500 a week. The latter sounds like as if you were a hooker.!

Then again, perhaps I shouldn't make any presumptions to the contrary to what you wrote the first time.

It must have something to do with your Avatar that may have gave me the idea of "Hooker-ism"!

Most men are not only "Whores", but "Dogs" also, which the two tend to go hand in hand.

For the rest of the men who are not the above, most wished they could be.

My very first job lasted ONLY 4 hours.

It was during summer school break in the late 60's that I decided to go and get a job close to where we lived in North London. It was a small belt making company where the machine would punch holes in the belts and then I would had to place these metal rings in the holes of the belts for them to get pressed by a machine. I was to be paid £1 pound a day. It was so bloody fast moving pace, tiring and noisy, that when I went home for lunch, I never returned back, but was wondering for many days how I could go back and ask for my 50p (10 Shillings) for half day's work. I never went back to get the money.
