How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby BirKibrisli » Mon Aug 29, 2005 7:30 pm

Yes,Piratis,you are right.
I know that some people in The North whose fathers or sons or husbands were killed in operations suspected of the TMT would love to see truth and justice win at the end.Somehow it would be easier to accept if it was EOKA that carried out the evil deed. Ironic, isn't it?

what about the idea I tried to put forward before, establishing a Truth and Justice commission in Cyprus along the South African line?

As a principle this idea is good. However I also doubt it could work in Cyprus and I agree with Viewpoint that it could end up in a slanging match. Personally I don't have a problem to simply forgive everybody including Turkey, leave everything behind and start something good without looking in the past. However I can understand how people that lost someone loved would want justice to be served.

Are you well Piratis?? you actually agree with me and you now appear to be forgiving person as well. Something wrong here

Cheer up Viewpoint! Congratulations!

Tomorrow morning you can go to your masters and tell them that you finally convinced one Greek Cypriot about the righteousness of your cause. You may tell my friend Serdar to also give you a salary increase. Send him my regards too. He is a nice chap, irrespective of the fact that I do not share his vision.

You appear more excited than me, but the sheer fact that Piratis used those words are amazing.

I am afraid there are not many Tcs that would see eye to eye with you especially not Denktas Jr.

Denktash Jr., definatelly not, but I am very confident that many more TCs would see eye to eye with me than they would with you.
