Yes all citizens of this Republic had single citizenship's.

not from my mouth............ :!:

I caught up with the charming for his only extended interview during a visit to Australia. After elected president in 2008, Christofias made reunification his highest priority; he re-engaged the UN and began meeting with the leaders of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. He remains ambitious that a reunification settlement can be reached before the end of 2012.

"The state of Cyprus will be a bizonal, bicameral, federal state with political equality of the two communities," he says.

"That does not mean numerical equality, but effective participation of the two communities in the nation's institutions. It will have a single, indivisible sovereignty, a single citizenship and a single international personality."

cat the crap Christofias  ..... are u going to be seconed halil :?: :!:

Halil, I would like to ask if the Kibrislis and you yourself if you like, understand what the term Federal means, and what will mean in practice given that the political equality does not mean numerical equality.

Please explain how you understand this.

Why dont you explain it to us Pyro and what our role will be in it? how do you the TCs and the structure protecting both communities equally without allow one the opportunity to dominate or exclude the other.

I underlined only the word "federal". This by itself means that no Federal part will dominate or exclude the other.

HOWEVER there is also the Federal government who is on top of the Fed parts, and at which most decisions will be made up by the Kypreos firstly because of their arithmetic majority, secondly because of their financial superiority.. It will still be possible for the Kibrislis to oppose important decisions taken by the Kypreos at Federal level but that will not be as easy as you think. Because usually there will be a cost to pay.

Secondly the Kypreos Fed part will always be the major contributor to Federal funds. It will be very unlikely that the Kypreos will allow funds to flow non proportionately if the Kibrislis oppose imporetant Kypreos'es financial decisions made at Fed level.

In short i see the Kibrislis' Federal part be FOLLOWERS at Central Federal level rather than decision makers.
Do the Kibrislis understand this? I really doubt.

Democracy requires 3 things: citizens — that is, people who see themselves as part of an undifferentiated national community where anyone can be ruler or ruled. It requires self-determination — that is, voting. And it requires what Michael Mandelbaum, author of “Democracy’s Good Name,” calls “liberty.”

“While voting determines who governs,” he explained, “liberty determines what governments can and cannot do. Liberty encompasses all the rules and limits that govern politics, justice, economics and religion.”

So what are you saying due to the GCs having a numerical and financial advantage they will have most of the say and we have to accept this?

The problem with you people is, that you've been spoon fed the idea that you're something special.
That just because you're affiliated to some rogue terrorist regime that means you're entitled to special treatment.

Anatolia = the crud stuck under my shoe.

To hell with Anatolian terrorists.
