oh yes? TWO? how about maronites? armenians? latins? aren't they allowed to have an identity and culture?

this ignorant racist wants a right to an identity and culture he would deny others... he has been hoisted by his own petard.

not from halil's mouth.............

At independence, Cyprus's constitution called for a government divided into executive, legislative, and judicial branches, headed by a president, with strong guarantees for the Turkish Cypriot community. The constitution arranged for a Greek Cypriot president and Turkish Cypriot vice president, elected by their respective communities for five-year terms of office. Members of the island's other minorities--Armenians, Maronites, and Roman Catholics--were given the option of joining one of the communities for voting purposes. All chose to be identified as Greek.....Greek and Turkish were designated as official languages............

In the 1960 Constitution of the Republic of Cyprus; each community, Greek and Turkish Cypriots, was co-founder and co-partner of the republic on the grounds that both hold political and legal equality despite disproportionate population rates. The structure of theROC was designed as a bi-communal partnership.
Yes all citizens of this Republic had single citizenship's.

with new federal republic of Cyprus will be Bi-Zonal, Bi-Communal with single idendity ....

with new federal Cyprus ....why shouldn't i have my political and legal equality........

not from my mouth............ :!:

I caught up with the charming for his only extended interview during a visit to Australia. After elected president in 2008, Christofias made reunification his highest priority; he re-engaged the UN and began meeting with the leaders of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. He remains ambitious that a reunification settlement can be reached before the end of 2012.

"The state of Cyprus will be a bizonal, bicameral, federal state with political equality of the two communities," he says.

"That does not mean numerical equality, but effective participation of the two communities in the nation's institutions. It will have a single, indivisible sovereignty, a single citizenship and a single international personality."

cat the crap Christofias  ..... are u going to be seconed halil :?: :!:
u lost the certificate too

Halil, I would like to ask if the Kibrislis and you yourself if you like, understand what the term Federal means, and what will mean in practice given that the political equality does not mean numerical equality.

Please explain how you understand this.

Why dont you explain it to us Pyro and what our role will be in it? how do you the TCs and the structure protecting both communities equally without allow one the opportunity to dominate or exclude the other.
