More important, will Crete leave Greece. Heard on radio today that there are rumblings of devolution coming from Crete again. All due to the bother Greece finds itself in.

Will Crete be able to remain in the EU as an independent country, and if not, who will save them when Turkey invades her to save the Muslims (Turks) from "genocide".?

Good point.
The EU needs to guarantee the territorial integrity of its members against such rogue countries.
they don't, so Greece and CY spend billions of their income on defense against THE biggest nuisance in the region.

I suspect that if Enosis had taken place the Cypriots would be looking for autonomy, being fed up with being sucked dry to sustain the parasites in Athens and getting little or nothing in return.
