Absolutely!

He made sure Turkey got everything Turkey asked for in the AP without him complaining about it once the AP started it's slippery slope in benefiting Turkey and the TCs far more than the GCs. That's how he outfoxed Turkey. The more Turkey asked for and got, the more sure he was that the GCs would OXI on the AP. He got 76% OXI. I'm surprised it wasn't 96% OXI to be honest with you.

Viewpoint wrote:Again you side with GCs, well done. Your biased and one sided viewpoint is reconfirmed for all to see.

What is it that you are complaining about, VP.?? I was in fact agreeing with you that Papadopoulos did not help to form a better plan because he had other ideas. He just let Turkey have it's way with the AP in every way she wanted, and Turkey obliged, which was Papadopoulos plan and Turkey fell into his trap. That's how he outfoxed Turkey. On the other hand, had Turkey had intentions of having a very workable Annan Plan, she shouldn't have made the plan so lop sided in favouring her and the TCs against the GCs and the RoC. Despite that lop sided Annan Plan, 24% of the GCs still voted for it. Just imagine what would have happened if it was a half way decent plan for the GCs also as it was just a perfect plan for the TCs. You can blame Papadopoulos all you want for the failure of the AP and I won't argue with you, but you should also be prepared to blame Turkey too for her shortsightedness in demanding everything under the sun which helped for the 76% of the GCs to say OXI, which you won't of course, just because you don't have the guts.

In the end, Papadopoulos got what he really wanted and that was to have the RoC and 100% of Cyprus territory in the EU as RoC and Turkey got zilch and remains till today as a illegal occupying power in a EU territory with the RoC holding Turkey's EU future in it's hands politically, not to mention the oil and gas fields of it's southern coasts. Talk about turn of fortunes. Who would have imagined Turkey would end up holding the short end of the stick by being outfoxed by Papadopoulos . Talk about Papadopoulos raining on Turkey's parade for all the grandiose ideas they had for Cyprus right after HAD the AP passed by both sides. Well, you know how Turkey feels about it, because that's how you feel about it...sickning. You even just held a 7th year anniversary in regret and sorrow for the failure of the Annan Plan in 2004. I didn't hear about the 24% of the GCs having the same kind of a vigil as the TCs did on the AP's NOT passing anniversary. I wonder why not.? Perhaps they have mostly come to realise that they made the wrong choice in 2004. Who knows.? Lets hope Turkey does not make the same mistake in the future by asking for everything in the next plan...again.!

He is one sided full stop, not once has he said anything remotely against GCs or in favor of the TCs, that speaks volumes to the TCS.

I gave TCs this, which had everything you have asked for, including a veto vote and rotating Presidency and a north state consisting of a majority TCs.........Democratically and without violating any one's Human Rights. What have you given to the TCs, other than isolation, embargoes, living on "spoils of war" and receiving handouts from Turkey, in effect causing them to call the TCs to be "kept parasites". ? Can you cause more damage than you have already done.? Probably.!

You are well and truly fucked in the head, you are so twisted that you try to turn things again in favour of GC cunning and our stupidity, the fact that papadopfolos was a shit bag and did not stand his corner turns out to be our fault for standing ours and geting the best deal we could....you are beyond help. Papafolopulos had to cry on national TV get the church to scare the population shitless that they would burn in hell if they voted yes, censor television etc etc to get a no vote.

You try to build up the south likes its some sort of heaven when its not, are you aware we could have what you offer tomorrow by moving south but its more foreign to the majority of TCs who have never lived with GCs. I would personally rather move back to the UK than live in the south as a foreigner.

Another fact which you seem to disregard about the AP was that TCs will only united under something similar to this as it has set the bar forever.

Wrong! The AP became "Dead & Buried" after the referendum. Turkey should have it made it a condition that future plans need to have a starting point where the AP left from. They didn't. Had that been the case, it wouldn't have taken the last 2+ years in negotiations for another plan. In the meantime, EU courts have ruled that Guarantor powers are illegal in Cyprus. What's the next "bombshell" to drop on Turkey I wonder.?

As for Papadopoulos, I have explained to you that his first and most important objectives was to get the RoC into the EU while at the same time Turkey tried to get into the EU (de facto) through the back door via the north state and have control over the whole island. This may sound strange, but you should be grateful that Papadopoulos did what he did, because had the AP passed, it wasn't just the GCs who were going to get screwed in the long run, but the TCs also. Turkey would have ruled the north with her OWN people and not with the TCs. I know you won't believe this, just because you are a Turkey YES man, but many TCs are now finding out as Turkey is putting the squeeze on them. Had the AP passed in 2004, today, TCs would not be in a good place. In fact, worse than they are in now.

As for the TCs not wanting to move to the south, it is because they have no place to live, since most of the TC properties in the south belong to their grandparent/parents who may be dead already and need a lot of legal sorting out which requires ALL the family members to participate. Naturally all the NeoPartitionists members of their families will not help their brothers and sisters to sort out their properties in the south, therefore, they are stuck in the north and cannot afford to move to the south and start renting when they have a rent free GC property to live in in the north. They also do not want to be labeled as traitors by the likes of you. I also believe you will move to the UK in the event of a settlement under a Democratic BBF Cyprus, just because you will most likely go to prison for all your illegal activities in the north regarding stolen GCs properties.

It's the best you can hope to get which gives you everything you want, except for partition, which I made sure of that. The longer you wait, you will end up with a unitary state like any other EU country and the TCs like any other minority. The tide has turned and even the Middle East is hungry for Democracy. Don't shouldn't expect the EU to give you anything less.
