How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

In 2003 Papadopoulos main campaign slogan was: "I promise to solve the Cyprus problem based on the Annan Plan". Huge posters were put everywhere and Chrisofias said the now onfamous "the man has changed" in order to explain to the party failthful his decision to support Papadopoulos.

Perhaps he did, but he didn't say he would accept any content that would appease turkey and the TCs to the detriment of the GCs.

He did his job, very well.

The content is what was wrong with it, if you can't see that, you are a complete and utter idiot.

We decieved no one, we met the EU criteria (something Turkey has no chance of doing) and we were accepted. Simples!

Seriously? He was more responsible that the plan was bad than the guy who made it. You sure have massive balls to call others idiots. There is no doubt he was the worst president of Cyprus so far especially at that crucial period, even extreme right wingers must agree (although admittedly, Christofias is probably very close at claiming the top spot)

And about the main topic, please dont mind our man of god, no one takes him seriously except maybe a handful of people from Paphos

Come on VP you should know better he is sided with his compatriots not any foreigners why that sounds so bad to you :?:

He is one sided full stop, not once has he said anything remotely against GCs or in favor of the TCs, that speaks volumes to the TCS.

Kikapu was kept captive by GC soldiers Viewpoint. Read his life story... it's in this forum. One of the things I will never forget is Kikapu's life time story, his visit to cyprus story, and Birkibrisli's lifetime story and visit to cyprus story. BEST READS in Cyprus forum EVER.

Now I ask you if Bir had been killed by the TMT thugs when they took him for rasnom, what would his father/or brother/or sister be writing in this forum today?

Petros Soupouris lost all his family at Palaikithron in 1974. There is no ifs here. Read what Petros says and feel proud to be human.

And despite everything.....

Postby cymart » Thu May 05, 2011 11:14 am

Paphos Municipality recently voted to name the new northern by-pass road after Papadopoulos-as if that is not stupid and insulting enough, they also plan to commission a statue of him which will be erected on the roundabout at the beginning, while another new road will be named after another loser,Spyros Kyprianou!!!
Anywhere else outside the third world such practice would cause ridicule, especially for someone who failed to be re-elected from the first round!!Yet in a way,I suppose some people here still think these people benefited Paphos by opposing a solution of the Cyprus problem, which for them ensured land prices here rocketed and also avoided them having to share their tourists with Famagusta or the rest of the north!Despite this though,Paphos has been in decline for several years now due to the economic recession which has almost stopped real-estate sales here and reduced tourism, also because the place has become notorious for over-charging,poor beaches and bad infrastructure and cleanliness!Serves them right!

If there's a Nixon Avenue in California and a Kissinger Avenue in Pennsylvania then you can also have a Spyros Road.

Tassos Papadopoulos has been a significant figure in Cypriot Politics since the 1960s as he served as Makarios FM Minister as well as being RoC President for 5 years.

He has served his people for half a century!

Cyprus' EU accession had fuck all to do with the Annan plan.

Cyprus was accepted because Greece made it clear that no expansion would take place without Cyprus. The fact that the latter's economy was such that it would become a net contributor from day 1 made things easier.
