No, since 1878.

Perhaps he did, but he didn't say he would accept any content that would appease turkey and the TCs to the detriment of the GCs.

He did his job, very well.

The content is what was wrong with it, if you can't see that, you are a complete and utter idiot.

We decieved no one, we met the EU criteria (something Turkey has no chance of doing) and we were accepted. Simples!

Absolutely!

He made sure Turkey got everything Turkey asked for in the AP without him complaining about it once the AP started it's slippery slope in benefiting Turkey and the TCs far more than the GCs. That's how he outfoxed Turkey. The more Turkey asked for and got, the more sure he was that the GCs would OXI on the AP. He got 76% OXI. I'm surprised it wasn't 96% OXI to be honest with you.

It was an agreement Bananiot. The agreement was made a long time before and involved Cyprus, the eastern European Countries AND TURKEY.
We succeeded all our way through, to ALL chapters. We were IN THE EU almost one year before the Anan Plan referendum.

The Anan Plan was designed to knock us out immediately after the EU would receive the letter from the co-presidents demanding (LOL) the Cyprus settlement to become primary EU aquis.

As for Papadopoulos he was the biggest idiot and crook we ever had for President. How could ANYONE afford to be elected President without even knowing/or having read the Anan Plan....

Yes but that was AFTER he was convinced by Klerides to write the letter to the UNSG to start negotiations based on the Anan Plan (4 months AFTER he was elected president) and AFTER Turkey accepted. Until then he had absolutely no idea what was the Anan Plan, in fact he was asking Klerides to explain him.

He was a big crook. Then of course he outfoxed Turkey, but he loaded to his own people the responsibility for the OXI and the damage he did to us (and not only to us the GCs, to the TCs too) is unprecedented.

If he wouldn't act this way I am sure there would be better plans after April 2004 and much better negotiations with better outcome. There was a tremendous momentum in both communities.
The Anan Plan killed it all...

Again you side with GCs, well done. Your biased and one sided viewpoint is reconfirmed for all to see.
