Usama bin Laden Is Dead, Sources Say

Published May 01, 2011 FoxNews.com

Usama bin Laden is dead, multiple sources confirm to Fox News. He was killed a week ago by a U.S. bomb.

President Obama is expected to deliver a statement from the White House Sunday night to discuss the major development.

The announcement comes nearly a decade after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks which started a tireless hunt for the terrorist mastermind and Al Qaeda leader.

The U.S. had been waiting for the results of a DNA test to confirm his identity before going public. Sources said the vice president informed congressional leaders late Sunday night that bin Laden had indeed been killed.

Where is Schnauzer to give us the details?

CBBB, the video you posted is cut in the middle. I was listening to the tale of the adventures of Usama, but it was cut right when he crossed to Pakistan!! :x

The picture on the left is a file photo from Reuters. The center image was sent in by a number of readers as an email attachment--it's initial provenance is unknown. The image on the right is a blend of the two others we made here at msnbc.com.

No, that is not correct. That was an image that was released by Pakistani media and according to Euro news its a fake. The US has taken images of his dead body but have not released them to the public, yet.

The Washington Post also mentions about the photo here:

In Pakistan, news agencies passed around a photo that supposedly showed Osama bin Laden’s battered face. It later turned out to be a fake.
