Perhaps they're all upset because there are 70,000 illegal workers (no, not the Turk army) being paid Turk Lira for the work they do and creaming money away from them.

Perhaps they're all upset because the life they were expecting under Daddy 'Turk' Warbucks has failed to materialise and they realise they've been shafted.

Perhaps they're p*ssed off because they backed the wrong horse in a two-horse race, back in 1974.

Whatever the reason, it's a problem of their own making.

The lady right at the end summed it up quite nicely.

Bravo, bravo, bravo.

Well, best not be too quick to blame ordinary people, many of who weren't around at the salient times for the schemings and faults of the Illegal Puppet Leadership and the expansionist plans of Turkey.

In any event hese people are very angry, and those that were interviewed in the video weren't angry about money, as we have been misled to believe by the likes of the Partitionists VP and Halil, they came across to me as being pussed off with the immorality of the situation, pussed off with the wasted years of the Donktosh era, the swamping with settlers, the erosion of a CY identity, ... and they were saying that first and foremost they are CYs,... with a fondness for the flag of the Republic and an accompanying contempt for the Poxy Pacman "flag", and a pride for their ID cards which one bloke insisted, by the way, are CY cards and not the sole prop of the Good People living in the Free Areas.

A good many of the CYs living under Turkish Oppression are not at all happy... not very happy at all.

I can see that the older Turks, who probably had Greek friends that they used to meet at the local cafeneion and talk all day to, being unhappy with the way things are. The only reason I can see that the younger ones are unhappy is being they belong to a Muslim fundamentalist state where they're unable to wear jeans and listen to pop music and that's the only reason. Nothing to do with how they remember the way things used to be.

So what happens if - and it's a big 'IF' - Cyprus ever becomes one nation again and we have to live side-by-side? Greek-Cypriots can speak Greek and English, but the Turks can speak...er, Turk! They've lived for so long under a foreign (and illegal) regime that was their salvation but also their violator.

This is now the way things have been for a long time and I can't see how the two peoples could ever become one again. The Germans were still Germans and had family on both sides. The Koreans, the Irish, the Indo-Pakistan, etc., etc., etc. are all very different and that's why Germany re-united but no other country can or will.

What a mundane remark. These people are not out on a Sunday evening stroll. They are working peasants with limited means. They are proud for what they are and what they represent. You are so materialistic, you think money is everything. Get a life.

If what you say is true, then he should know better. But according to you everyone is a Jew. Nothing wrong with being a Jew. Its the Zionists that scare me.

Maybe what I mean is similar:
Nothing wrong with being an Israeli. It's the Jews that scare me.
