Polls show DISY first with a small difference from AKEL. Loses for DIKO, gains for EDEK. No major changes apart from the increased number of the people who will not vote.

Has DISY increased at the expense of DIKO then? If so that is an interesting shift from a centre-right and anti-settlement party to a centre-righ but pro-settlement party. Or is it just that the DIKO vote has gone to EDEK?

Will any of the smaller parties win any seats?

DIKO is pro-settlement. DIKO only opposes partition kind of settlements like the racist Annan partition plan. And if you thought that those who vote for DISY are people that support Annan plan kind of settlements then you are wrong again, since more than 2/3rds of the supporters of that party voted against the racist Annan partition plan.

Surely AKEL and DISY are both in favour of a BiZonal BiCommunal federation as envisaged in the high level agreements of 1977?

Piratis says DIKO is 'pro settlement and anti partition', yet surely what we've had for nearly 37 years is.....partition - isn't it?

Its easy to be in favour of a 'settlement' based on the other side conceding everything you want, but I don't know any negotiations anywhere that have ended that way.

Exactly, that is why Turkey has to make concessions.

We never asked from Turkey to concede anything to us. We do not want any part of Turkey for ourselves, neither we want to impose to the Turks how to run their own country. What we want is a true solution, and that can mean nothing else than a free Cyprus where Cypriots can democratically rule their own island.
