How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Trouble is that because of the Embargoes/lack of business sense(on the whole), Ankara have been financially supporting them for the past 37 years, do they any longer have a choice but to toe the party line.

I lived thru the 70's in the UK when the unions were at the height of their power,Lightening strikes here there and everywhere, mass walk outs for this and that very nearly bringing UK Industry to its Knees, Then Maggie stepped in........................

There are alot of TCs living abroad,uk,australia, etc, whom are rather succesful in bussiness own their own!!But I guess you wouldn't understand what it takes to try to run a bussiness with all the embargoes, mainly from our so called 'motherland'!!With that, one also has to take into account as to why most TCs are civil workers.I'm guessing you wouldn't know that either. If you have something constructional to offer these people,be my guest.

well I guess the sooner Turkey leaves Cyprus and takes its army with her. The Cypriots who now employee foreign workers will employee TC workers.

The suggested venture by the President of the republic on Varosha, will see TC business people joining w/ GC business people employing Cypriots to rebuild the city. But halil and VP think mother Turkey knows best

We want Cypriots as a whole to determine what happens in the north. TC are the 18% of Cypriots, and therefore they should have a proportional say, while Turkey should have no say at all.

Neither Turkey nor TCs have the right to exclude from the decision making the 80%+ of the Cypriot people.

Agree and fair comment. Alternative one person = one vote ;)

Well, there may be a half-way house, given that we are lumbered with a BBF and that may be something like one person-one vote at the Federal level ... Which would also be a safeguard against a future Partition some fear... but the "equal communities" brigade would reject any such proposal for thT very reason.
