LETTER TO BAN ON CITIZENSHIP DEBATES

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby humanist » Mon Apr 25, 2011 8:27 am

It is my understanding that TC's themselves are divided on the issue of citizenship. Some TC's say that they want no settlers to stay and some that say some and some that say all.

They have also entered the Island illegally therefore breaching international law surely. They fore they need to arrest people not allow illegal settlers into areas of the Free Cyprus. They can come legally via Larnaca or Limasol Ports and they will be welcomed as any citizen ;)

The Council’s term-president Ahmet İşcan said that they were very much disturbed by the onging debates about people who were granted the TRNC citizenship.

In the letter, the Council called for the equal treatment of all TRNC citizens at mutual crossings and also urged the Greek Cypriot Administration to allow visits to the places of Islamic worship located in South Cyprus.

Another letter will be sent to the Head of the EU Commission Representation in South Cyprus Androulla Kaminara on Tuesday.

Yeh ok Halil... but rather than just copying and pasting other people's words... any chance of putting in a few words of your own thoughts on the matter of Illegal Settlers please.?????

Young BillC...........are you crazy? It must be the 'heatwave' affecting your judgement.

They can visit the religious sites, by going back to Turkey, then to Syria and there applying for a visa at the RoC embassy. Simple. Anyone who wants to prove the strength of his faith has their work cut out for them.

Settlers have NO PLACE in Cyprus. In the long run it is not the GCs who are losing, it is the TCs whoa re lising due to settlers. The threat that some day they will be a million is usually directed at GCs, those that threaten should ask what one million settlers will mean for the TC community and have a long think.
