What and why are the restrictions on evolution in the RoC?

The restrictions are in Bananiots mind. I just checked and Evolution is part of the Biology books for both the 2nd and 3rd forms of our Lycea.

The second Lyceum year book is called "Epistimi Perivallontos" and does contain a little bit about evolution. Very few pupils choose this subject. The third year book is called "Biologia" and many pupils choose it. It contains nothing on evolution. The examination guide also has zero evolution. In fact, last year, when Education Minister Andreas Demetriou visited some Lycea and the visit coincided with Darwin's 200 years, he asked in many classes if they knew of the occasion. He was surprised tp find that not a single soul knew anything about it. Then he asked about Darwin and again no body knew of this great man. As a result. he ordered a leaflet to be made and sent to all schools. The leaflet has been sent but it merely decorates the school libraries that hardly any pupil visits.

Books in Cyprus are brought from Greece. But I just checked and that is 3rd grade of Gymnasium. So Evolution is taught in our schools even earlier.

No they are not sotos. Some of them are but not all of them are taught. Ask any third former, a top pupil in Biology, how much he knows about evolution and you will see the light.

Ask any 3rd former what he knows about algebra and he'll say the same. Sotos has clearly shown you how evolution is taught in Cyprus. You have now switched from "I'm not allowed to teach evolution in cyprus" to " it's taught a little" to " they can't keep it in".

The quality of the staff or intelligence of the pupils is not at question here. You said you're not allowed to teach it and you lied. Acknowledge and move on.
