Looking for a maisonette

Postby perjohan » Thu Apr 21, 2011 12:34 pm

Hello all out there!

I`m looking for a winter residence some place in Cyprus. Tired of the long winter up here in arctic-circle-land. Where is the best place in Cyprus? I have to bring with me my two dogs and a cat, so it must be a place with animal-friendly surroundings. In first hand I`m looking for a maisonette in price range 115KEuro+/-. To give you and idea of the "spring" up here, I try to send a photo with the post, if I can manage to do it.

It is Eddie, the dog of Frasier ;) Perjohan, best place in Cyprus will depend on what you like and what you need. Do you want to be near the beach, or up on the mountain that will remind you of Norway in winter and will be less hot in the summer than other parts of Cyprus? Do you want to live among Cypriots, or among other EU immigrants? Will you need to work, because this will limit your choices quite a bit.

Reh perjoran... welcome to CF ... Living in CY is a great dream for many, lured by the promise of warm weather etc, but buying property in CY can be a nightmare... if you haven't already read up on the subject of CY property then have a look at Nigel Howarth's site for the low-down at...

http://www.cyprus-property-buyers.com/intro/about.htm

Bottom line is don't go for anything that doesn't have an unencumbered title-deed (kochan)

Which ever part of the Island that you choose, North,South, East or west,Rent for the 1st year to begin with, its not for all here, If you are looking for warmer climate, low Crime rate and a better quality of life, Cyprus is a great choice, a great combination of modern Towns and traditional villages, where,(It would seem), Time has stood still(Aside, that is from the New BMW's!).

I wasn't talking about the dog, you said you were looking for a maisonette and I wondered if that was a female Mason!
