Moi...??? just a soft and cuddly featherweight.... will leave the heavy stuff to B25.

In my defence, if i may mate, not that it's necessary of course, let me put it this way... we're, in the main, a bunch of mates who have a degree of respect for each-other, and a lot of respect for some kind of CY reconcilliation and re-unification ... but where is this Aba.. Ada character's respect for CF or for building bridges ????? ... contributes bugger all save deliberate and calculated six-word, trouble-making.

A basis of any representative democracy is that anyone who wishes to stand for election by his/her peers, to any office, is free to do so...

.

Since when ETA terrorists enter the Spanish parliament? Provide evidence.

Stop Squirming ...

... and tell us why one of the Banned Candidates, Leyla Zana, spent 10 years in jail.... back up your claims with more than your usual six words of all over the place rubbish.

for being an ETA member. It is forbidden in Spain and same applies in Turkey

Have you seen any ETA terrorists in Spanish parliament? Why do you avoid the question?

Leyla Zana. (no mention of ETA)

'She was recognized as a Prisoner of conscience by Amnesty International. In 1994 she was awarded the Rafto Prize, and in 1995, was awarded the Sakharov Prize by the European parliament. She also won the Bruno Kreisky Award. In 1998 her sentence was extended because of a letter she had written that was published in a Kurdish newspaper, which allegedly expressed banned pro-separatist views. While in prison she published a book titled Writings from Prison.

With T****y applying to become a member of the European Union, the EU repeatedly called for her release on human rights grounds, making its position clear by awarding Zana with the Sakharov Prize in 1995.

In 2001 the European Court of Human Rights ruled against T****y after a review of her trial; although T****y did not recognize the result'

* Clear support from leyla Zana to the PKK terrorist organization and its head

ANKARA - Leyla Zana testified for three different investigations on PKK propaganda and said:

"+ûcalan is one of the Kurdish leaders. He is not the leader of a terrorist organization."

* Mrs. Zana also claimed that the PKK, which is considered terrorist organization by Turkey, US, EU, Iraq, Iran and many other countries laws, is not terrorist.* The former DEP MP Leyla Zana testified for her speech before the election. Zana said: "Abdullah +ûcalan is one of the Kurdish public leaders." Mr. Ocalan was captured and he is now in prison.

* The former DEP MP Leyla Zana testified for the speeches she made in Diyarbakır, Adıyaman and Iğdır before the election on July 22.

* Zana had defended a state system in her speech. Zana openly supported the PKK terrorism and its leader.

* Zana further said "I am also one of the Kurdish public. Abdullah +ûcalan is one of the leaders of Kurdish public. I do not see him as a terrorist organization leader. This is my personal opinion. I did not provoke or encourage anyone to cry out slogans about Abdullah +ûcalan."

* The PKK is a revolutionary Marxist-Leninist and separatist terrorist groups. More than 37,000 people have been killed in the PKK terrorism and only 4,568 of them are military personnel.

EU adds the PKK to list of terrorist organisations

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On 2 May the Council of the European Union (the 15 EU governments) adopted by "written procedure" (the text is simply circulated and agreed unless there is any objection) two updated lists of individuals and organisations whose funds and assets are to be frozen under anti-terrorist measures.

The lists, which add 13 new organisations includes, for the first time, the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

Well let's get back to Turkey and have a look at the terrorist crimes....    , of one of the banned from standing in elections Leyla Zana

Her great act of terror was to speak this sentence in Kurdish on taking the oath to the Turkish Anything But A Parliament...

"I take this oath for the brotherhood between the Turkish people and the Kurdish people."..

Sentenced to 10 years.

Amongst her achievements and awards...

She was recognized as a Prisoner of conscience by Amnesty International.

In 1994 she was awarded the Rafto Prize

in 1995, was awarded the Sakharov Prize by the European Parliament.

In 2001 the European Court of Human Rights ruled against Turkey after a review of her trial, ruling Turkey had violated her rights of free expression.

She co-founded the Democratic Society Party in 2005.

In 2008, thrown in to prison again for daring to speak her mind, charged with "terrorism" (pollocks)... for saying in a speech..

"Kurds have three leaders, namely Massoud Barzani, Celal Talebanî and Abdullah Ocalan."[3] Massoud Barzani is the president of the Kurdistan federal region in Iraq, Celal Talabani is the ethnic Kurdish president of Iraq, and Abdullah Ocalan is the imprisoned Kurdish leader of PKK in Turkey ."

In 2008, Zana was sentenced to another 10 years in prison by the Turkish court. The court ruled that she had violated the Turkish penal code and the Turkish anti-terror law in nine different speeches.

In 2009 sentenced to further fifteen months for a speech she had made at the Uni of London.... a speech in London!!!!!!!!!!

In 2010 again sentenced to further 3 years.

... all this woman has done is to show the courage of her convictions, to express her views and to do so peacefully!!!!!!!!!!!!
