I have susoect at some time that the Moslem faith had reached a stage somewhat similar to say the Catholic Church in the early 16th Century, when it too became intollerant of other beliefs, in Spain, in particular, with the inquisition, where Jews and Moslems had previouisly contributed so much to Spain.

In places like Iran you have the added complication of how the rulers are essentially cliaming a divine right to rule and where a political attck on them is therefore an attack on God.

I somehow doubt that God or Allah, if he/she/it exists at all, let alone in the form the mad Mullahs believe in, would share their views: rather, if they are listening to any one (again assuming there is someone/something out there) it is probably Satan.

PS I have signed up, becuse what every my personal views on the nature of God, who is all to often made in mans's image, and imperfectly at that, and on religion in general, I deplore the deliberate despoilation of religeous /cultural sites/granveyards.
