So why the Turkish flag on Pentadaktylos still?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Have you heard about sharing equally?

Have you heard mixed population one person one vote :?: :?:

Sure.

but does not seem very democratic for you though

Whats wrong with BBF and political equality? is it not democratic?

The argument is over how Turkey chooses to interpret a "BBF with political equality". There's no point in bandying around the expression like a meaningless slogan. The devil is in the detail and Eroglou and Ankara are still pining for an Annan-style confederation which is totally unacceptable to G/Cs.

Then dont you agree that there is no solution we are just wasting time, each side just continues as is and tries to improve their own situation.

A solution can be found tomorrow if Turkey wanted one. At the moment Turkey doesn't want a solution. So we are where we are.

No its the GCs who think Turkey does not want a solution because neither the TCs nor Turkey will accept your capitulation demands. Change your despot stance and see how things unravel....you Gcs are the problem time you realized that.

G/Cs are a problem for Turkey. No doubt about that. Must be very frustrating to have a small island holding 80m Turks to ransom. I can see how it must be annoying.

hermes do you really believe what you write, you dont seem to be to convinced, as Turkey is not exactly running around all over the place trying to meet EU demands, a country who has a real desire to join would have met the majority of the criteria eg Croatia a long time ago, you are fooled by thinking that Turkey thinks the EU is the world and without it, it will sink...you have to realize that the we understand Turkish far better than you do and what we read and see tells us the the EU issue is not very high on their priority list and the Gcs are even lower. You are only fooling yourselves if you think you can use the EU to get what you want, it has not worked in 7 years and it will not work in 70 years.

The only reason Turkey's EU accession has stopped is because it occupies Cyprus. Turkey has been given the chance to join the EU. It simply cannot fulfill the criteria because its troops occupy an EU member state which holds a veto over its accession. It is perfectly free to withdraw its accession and to keep its troops in Cyprus if it thinks this is where its best interest lies. No-one is forcing Turkey to join the EU.

South Cyprus issue is behind France, Austria and Germany, Turkey is well aware it will never enter this Christian club but it will milk the ideology for as long and as much as it can, why dont you understand this? dont you want to to see you are being used by Turkey to keep that "EU ideology" alive stating you are the problem and not that they do not want to conform to EU directives. You have been beaten once again at your own game.

Viewpoint you just revealed to everyone how naive and stupid you are. Listen to Hermes...READ WHAT HE SAYS RIGHT HERE ^^^^^....Funny, hilarious to me, because Hermes totally makes the logical point we ALL know, that you guys are powerless to get EU entry as things are, and you dodge this by telling us some crap about Turkey being above E.U.....No-one gives a shit, we don't care whether you NEED E.U. or not.

No one gives a shit whether Turkeys priorities are in Cyprus or in Kurdistan, or in EU or in the Aegean or in Thrace, we KNOW for a fact that Turkey WANTS EU.

And we know for a fact that as long as Attila is in Cyprus, Turkey cant get in EU....Your accession application is FROZEN until Cyprus is solved.

F-R-O-Z-E-N and we have 2 Hellenic EU states that would veto your accession if Cyprus remained unsolved. You guys are frustrated as fuck knowing that we are in EU with complete power over your accession after rejecting the (bullshit) Anna Plan.

And how do you respond? By throwing more and more Annan plans at us...OK, so work on that and until then, get your Greek dictionary out, because I KNOW you love Greek and Roman sculpture which makes me proud...heres one of my favourites:

"ΠΑΡΕ ΤΑ ΑΡΧΙΔΙΑ ΜΟΥ"
