Liberating Turkish Cyprus from its savior - II -

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby EricSeans » Tue Apr 12, 2011 9:11 pm

Back to the TC who said of 1974: "The Greek Cypriots may have lost half the island but we lost it all." This is probably the same guy.

Taken from PIO releases in April 2002:

[05] A Turkish Cypriot businessman will reportedly become advisor of the US embassy to Nicosia Under the front-page title "Kufi Birinci becomes advisor of the USA", KIBRISLI (26.04.02) reports that "well-known" Turkish Cypriot businessman Kufi Birinci is about to be appointed as advisor of the embassy of the United States to Nicosia. The paper writes the following: "According to information, which our reporters acquired from reliable sources, Kufi Birinci, who has applied for a post opened by the embassy of the USA in Cyprus, has made a serious step towards the position of the advisor as he passed successfully the first interview. According to information acquired by our newspaper, the advisor who will work as an expert in the international relations field, must be a political science and international relations graduate and in parallel to the English language he should have good command of the Turkish and Greek languages. The sources report that Kufi Birinci has more than all these qualifications and for this reason he is the most powerful candidate. Kufi Birinci is expected to begin his new job within the next few weeks".

But you are the ones saying that the Turks are in the process of wiping the T/Cs out as a distinct community on the island. It is T/Cs who talk about themselves as being reduced to "aborigines" on a "reservation". It is T/Cs who are voicing their fears of assimilation and extinction. It is not us saying that the T/Cs are in a very battle for their survival on the island. This is what T/Cs are saying. So why aren't you listening to the cry of your community?

Still preferred to a minority amongst GCs we could have that tomorrow but we do not want it.

You don't want to live in a Turkish military state. You don't want a federal Cyprus. You can't have independence. Looks like you're screwed then!
