But you are the ones saying that the Turks are in the process of wiping the T/Cs out as a distinct community on the island. It is T/Cs who talk about themselves as being reduced to "aborigines" on a "reservation". It is T/Cs who are voicing their fears of assimilation and extinction. It is not us saying that the T/Cs are in a very battle for their survival on the island. This is what T/Cs are saying. So why aren't you listening to the cry of your community?

Problem is ECHR has said that the settlers and carpetbaggers have established rights in the north. I always wondered why a Cherie Blair (you may hate her but she is a clever Human Rights lawyer) felt OK about representing the Orams. She obviously knew that from the human rights angle they had a "valid" claim and the ECHR ruling last year effectively endorsed that view when it recognised the IPC. Turkey has deliberately dragged the Cyprus problem out so that the "new TCs" born on the island have the right to remain there, another generation and they will be the majority.

Nobody, the UN, the EU or the ECHR would expect or require the offspring of mainlanders born in the north to return to the place of their parents birth. God help Cyprus.

VP we are not desperate, however, we want our freedom and liberation from Turkey which is now oppressing the human rights of at least 200,000 people directly and their relatives.

We want a solution asap, however as we stated in the past referendum we are not prepared to compromise our full freedom in our democratic Country which is now a member of the EU which has to fulfil legislative obligations.

freedom of movement being one of them so no BBF that you propose will be accepted unless there is full freedom of movement otherwise the EU will be contradicting its own legislation and citizen rights. Had the AP was voted in.

If can add to this please A. ... This Freedom Of Movement is a double whammy, not only are EU citizens able to move and settle freely anywhere in any EU member state under EU law. .....

>>> ... there is also a more fundamental and separate human right, one that is acknowledged by the ECHR, by which any citizen of any Nation State may move and settle freely wherever they wish within the territory of that nation state... in other words there can be no-go zones in a post-settlement CY .... oh and there are no derogations from this second one.

Still preferred to a minority amongst GCs we could have that tomorrow but we do not want it.

i for one would let u have this tomorrow:

• two separate, independent states 50-50;
• turkish rights to intervene whenever she feels like it - twice on fridays and three times at ramadan;
• loads and loads of turkish troops every where with nothing to do but scratch their balls;
• settlers, settlers, settler - the more the merrier, especially niqaabis - covered from head to toe - sexy;
• mosques wherever u want, three per village if u like, ok four (u drive a hard bargain,vp);
• statues of attaturk on every corner, let's say up to five per street (:roll: ok, ok, six!!);
• red and white tampon flags, in every field, on every hill, in every ditch, and on every beach;
• vp personally to kiss the turkish general's butt every morning at the crack of dawn.

do we have a deal, tiny bollox?
