Question for dog owners...

Postby alex_ruffneck » Sun Apr 10, 2011 3:31 pm

I adopted a wild dog that was on the verge of death, and it has turned out to be very well-natured and friendly, the only problem is he keeps getting these parasites on his neck/ears area.
I think they're called tsivija...?
Anyone know what i can do about them? Is there any sprays or anything available? Gonna go to a vet to see tomorrow, just wondering if any of you have any experience.
I've been removing them everyday with forceps, can't be nice for the poor old thing though

Thanks in advance

Try frontline it protests both tics and fleas
all the vets stock it ,lasts about 2 months in summer , longer in winter .

Frontline is good and there are also ampules you can empty on the back neck of the dog but always 3 days after bathing it. Good of you to adotpt a stray!

We also have tsivitja that infest the forum. They are rather hard to get rid off.
