As the days are gallopingly shorter and the max today is 31.1°C (brrr!), I note we did not have a real heat wave this year. Usually, about end July, early Aug, we get a few days at 40 - 45°C, occasionally even higher. This year, we did not get it. The highest I recorded here was in early July at 39.8°C. Note that I do not say that this lack of a heat wave means anything: it doesn't.

same here in budapest.....usually during summer we get some days with really high temperatures but not this year,almost every day it rains or its cloudy....

Well, here it doesn't rain and it is not cloudy. So if the only difference is that we didn't reach those very high temperatures that can be only good in my opinion.
