This is a real possibility, what could anyone do if the TRNC started to gradually open up this area for redevelopment and settlement?

If Turkey's goal is to end the negotiations, end its EU ambitions, open itself up to endless litigation, plunge its relations with the EU into freefall and seal the fate of the T/Cs in the north, then I think they should go for it.

I know Erdogan is a dumbass. But he's not as dumb as Viewpoint and BirkTurk seem to think he is.

Watch and learn the Turkish businessmen as all eager to get their hands on Maras, it will generate a great deal of investment and wealth.

There is a great deal of foreign investment in the area so that would have to be allowed for, imo this would bring back those investors but as you know we do not accept GC unless the go through the IPC to gain access. There are plenty of wealthy Turkish businessmen just waiting for such an opportunity to rebuild the area from scratch. Why should this are be any different from any other part of the TRNC?
