Racism? Or are the British just fed up?

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

Paphitis; I believe that Australia is a racist society. It is my belief and you are entitled to have yours.

When Howard decided to go to war in Iraq I phoned his office to express my belief that this invasion of this Country by my Country Australia was a mistake. The response I got " and where are from sir?" the reason she asked that is because I have an accent.

As far as your comments about the Lebanese community I do find them to be racist.

Oh yeh that's right! Australia must be racist then.

Only problem is that, former Australian Prime Minister John Howard's most senior political advisor just so happened to be an Australian of Greek Cypriot origins. The 2 were inseparable.

Arthur Sinodinos AO (born 1957 in Newcastle, New South Wales) is an Australian banker and former public servant. He was the Chief of Staff to the former Australian prime minister John Howard from 1997 to 2006, after serving with him previously from 1987 to 1989 when he was opposition leader and rejoining him in 1995.[1] As a close confidant of the prime minister, he was regarded as one of the most powerful people in the country.[2] He left to become an investment banking director with the bank Goldman Sachs JBWere,[3] and is currently the Regional General Manager, Business and Private Bank at National Australia Bank. In 2008, he will be part of a panel that will mediate public input into the Defence White Paper.[4]

Sinodinos was made an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2008.[5]

You are just being stupid, as Australia has proven to be a very tolerant society.

Maybe it was Arthur who asked you where you were from which is quite standard procedure as they want to profile you and your objections!

Racist my arse!
