An assistant professor at Erzurum’s Ataturk University was forced to demolish a wall of his house after finding himself unable to remove a yacht he had built inside.

Cafer Köse, 41, designed and built a yacht in his house in the eastern province of Erzurum, 1,750 meters above sea level. However he could not get it outside and had to hire a crane to demolish a wall of his house so he could remove the yacht.

My answer to those who accuse me of racism is:

1. It takes one to know one.

2. I did not make it clear enough, but when I wrote "Ataturkian intelligence", I had in mind the Kemalist ideology that runs Turkey since 1923. Not an ideology really with any intellectual content, but rather the exploitation of a popular man's name in order to serve the deep state's own interests. Turkey is not yet free. I should have clarified. I guess in my mind not only did it make sense but was also appropriate for this section of the forum. As I keep saying, there is no Cyprus problem. Cyprus has a Turkish problem and anything that highlights the hypocrisy and "democracy" in Turkey is relevant to Cyprus. The story in my mind unveiled the flawed thinking of Kemalism/Ataturkism; just as well thought out as the professor's thinking in constructing the boat.
