Rubbish! “Hellenes” are the sum of Balkan gypsies who have nothing to do with Cypriots.
We, the GCs, are Hellenes because we share the same (and unique) characteristics of all Greeks. These are primarily the Greek language and the Greek Orthodox religion. Further on, Cyprus is the cornerstone of the Greek civilization as found in the ancient Greek literature:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CypriaIf you don't feel Greek, then you can move to another country, because the rest of us are Hellene Cypriots.
Of course there's always the option of becoming a TC.
GR, What those idiots who feel the need to be Greek ignore is what a F*cking disaster it would have been and would be now if Enosis had taken place: despite their pious hope that Cyprus and Greece would somehow be equal partners the prospect is that Cyprus would end up subsumed by Greece: their ideas about how things would work (and I am not sure I fully comprehend what they are) are almost as outrageuos as some of the demands of the Turkish Speaking Cypriots for a BBF wherby they have 18% of the voters but get 37% of the land and 50% of the power.
They would however be giving away the freedom of Cyprus, stolen by Ptolomy in 300BC and would be paying twice the tax for the privilege of being an isoltead back-water under even greater of invasion.
Sufficed to say Enosis would seal the partition for all time.
However the way the things are in Greece and as Cyprus probably has an older culture than Greece perhaps rather than Cyprus being run by those Ioannis come lately's from Athens, Greece should become a part of Cyprus and be run from Nicosia.
What do you think??
