if we rename cyprus, 'greece' and just call greece... i dunno.... 'slavia' then all this confusion will end once and for all. wot to u say, vp?

Names are unimportant mate. We'll always be Hellenes, yet we can co-exist with TCs and remain an independent country.

Hellenes re, Hellenes exist in Cyprus, they existed in Asia Minor for MILLENIA and still there is a small minority of Greeks in Istanbul, who have been there for so many years.

when cypriots say they're 'greek', it don't mean they're greek greek, it just means they're greek. and when they say they're 'hellenes', it don't mean they're citizens of the hellenic republic, it just means they're hellenic.

i mean, why is the rest of the world so stupid?

when cypriots fly the flag of greece it don't mean they're flying the greek flag, ie the flag of greece, but the greek flag. 'cos they're greek, not as in greek citizens, or greek greeks, but greek.... as in hellenic... not as in a citizen of the hellenic republic, but hellenic as in greek... not greek citizen greek, but just greek. 'cos it's a greek flag, as well as being the greek flag. as in the flag of greece.

oh yes... and when cypriots sing the national anthem of greece, it don't mean they're greek, as in greek citizens, it means they're greek in the same way that a greek from, say, egypt who happens to be greek, is greek. as in, not a greek citizen, greek... just, u know, greek.

I think a lot of Cypriots are disappointed with Greece.
Normally considered a superior sister ally, not only have the Cypriots caught up to Greece in many ways, but have surpassed her in some.
Pretty soon Greece will be looking to Cyprus for support and inspiration..... just a thought.

Like I said, I don't loathe the Greeks the way GR and Milti do.

when cypriots say cyprus is a greek island, vp, they don't mean a greek island like crete, ie. an island that's part of the greek republic... they mean a hellenic island, ie. an island inhabited for millenia by hellenes... not as in citizens of the hellenic republic, but hellenes as in greeks, like, say a greek from antioch or damascus or constantinople. why are u so stupid, vp that u can't see the distinction? why do u use it as an excuse to gift the northern part of the island to turkey?
