they have scotland wales and n iraland have devevled powers and there own assemblies.

GR - read the rest of the sentence too.. as for the first part: I personally would never be forced to do so, however, in the very realistic scenario where Erdogan, post-Turkish elections, accepts the solution Christofias has proposed and he, AKEL and DYSI fanatically promote this "agreed" solution, whilst the US, UK et all come up with a clear threat against us in case of a second No, then it will be touch & go..

im not advocating a annan plan for cyprus however a northern area that has extreme autonomy form the rest of the island.

If Cyprus doesn't allow that, and Turkey doesn't want that, how is that going to come about?

Didn’t you hear what Cyprus has been saying to TCs… “No separate states!”

Didn’t you hear what Erdogan said to TCs… “Shut up and do as you’re told!”

when has cyprus said that?they have been negotiating the last 35 years a bbf .Just because you dont agree with that ,it still is reality.

“extreme autonomy” means independence! They can tease you till the cows come home but it’s not going to happen.
