Well, musically it's pretty monotonous and a bit of a dirge.

It's an anachronism cos after the first verse it's embarrassingly jingoistic and colonial.

It's an appeal to something that doesn't exist to protect Mrs Windsor and the institution of Monarchy, which doesn't sit well with Republicans.

It's rubbish and should be replaced.
