Lapithos is the name

Lapta by its current name.

Illegal name.

Its name all the same, no one knows where you are referring to if you say Lapitos.

I would never say Lapitos, only Lapithos!

Is that somewhere south of the border?

Previously known as Lambousa.

Well let's not argue over names and both Lapithos and Lapta are correct names, so VP...

“It’s crooked and corrupt and we have no protection or rights, we are the ones treated like criminals” one resident told the Cyprus Mail.

So a bunch of stupid selfish bastards bought property on occupied land and in turn got shafted. Now they are crying out for their "rights" when by buying that property in the first place they were deliberately ignoring the rights of the original owners. I think it's called getting your just desserts. May they all go to hell!

Was looking earlier, without success, to see whether the Afinaans Bank was one of the 6 or so Turkish Banks that are authorised to operate in CY by the regulatory authority of the Republic, by a legacy but very real law passed in around 1960.

If they ain't on the list, and believe they are not, we have scammers/thieves conning other scammers/thieves and all under the "authority" of the original Criminal Thieving Gang in all this, the Illegal Regime.

So it could be a three-way ponzi-type scam, ... Gawd, the ECHR will be pissing themselves when they see the evidence on this one.

bill cobbett wrote:So the bottom line is that if you shite on the human rights of others, if you invest your life savings in a shite-hole, if you love living in a shite-hole and you just "looooooove the trnc" then you must also love its shite, make them up as we go along "laws".

If you profit from the suffering of others then you are no better than a criminal. You cannot be surprised if you are then treated like a criminal.

This is the difference between the Carpetbaggers and the T/Cs. The Carpetbaggers believe the "TRNC" legalised the theft of Greek Cypriot property. And, as a result, they believe they have rights under the "TRNC".

Whereas the T/Cs know there is nothing "legal" about it. They know they are crooks living in a pirate state and it's everyone for themselves. They know that their "laws" are just a cover for theft and plunder.

The real stupidity and audacity of the Carpetbaggers is that they actually believe in the "TRNC" more than the T/Cs do. At least the T/Cs know that the "TRNC" is a bloody sham and that they are only pretending to be living in a real "state". The cretinous Carpetbaggers actually thought that the "TRNC" is a real place with real laws and rights for its citizens. Have you ever come across such a bunch of disreputable and gullible morons?
