A gagging order on the press! ... in a part of the world where the press is already very far from free, and where imprisonment and harassment (and worse) of journalists is all too common. Jeeees must be some kind of gagging order.

British couple lose north Cyprus land fight
A British couple face having to demolish their holiday villa in Turkish-controlled northern Cyprus after a UK court ruling that could affect thousands of other foreign holiday-home owners on the divided island.

@AWE : why you state it could happen everywhere in cyprus?

We all know about Miss Piggy and her husband.

Not sure whether they have lost their home in the UK yet over this, BillC should be able to tell us.

Only anecdotally mate, no hard evidence of the sort that would impress CF,... but as you ask... what have heard is that Mr Apostolides, the owner of the land in question in Lapithos, has had two legal charges registered on the the GB home for pretty huge amounts representing the awards of the Nicosia Court and the GB High Court costs.

... but stressed >>> have no hard evidence or a source i can divulge for this,... but an on-line search for a small fee will confirm or otherwise this at Mrs Windsor's Land Registry.

This is all very amusing watching these Carpetbaggers getting screwed royally.

I think the Carpetbaggers should apply to the IPC in the north to get "their" stolen GC properties back.

When refused, they should then apply to the courts in the north to get "their" properties back....in about 2-3 years for the cases to be heard.

They will be dishing out another £1 million between them in legal costs, and since it is guaranteed that they will lose their cases in the corrupt courts in the north, they will also have to pay the defendants legal costs (the bank) too.

They will then go to the ECHR about their Human Rights being violated, but the only problem with that is, all these scumbags have "dirty hands" by receiving stolen property, which the courts are not going to be very helpful, to help them get "their" properties back since they have acted criminally themselves in receiving these stolen goods. They cannot go to the court with "dirty hands" in order to get a judgement against another crook who sold them the stolen goods, who also has "dirty hands". The courts will throw their cases out, because, all the people involved in these cases, the plaintiffs and the defendants ALL have "Dirty Hands". They are all crooks, so the courts will just stay out of it.

Interesting enough though, if the carpetbaggers are kicked off "their" properties and the ECHR ignores them, then the returning GCs to the north will be able to kick out the settlers sitting in their homes, also without violating the settlers Human Rights. Lets see where these cases end up. This can be a major problem for the "trnc" down the road upon reaching a settlement.

The Carpetbaggers should have known all along, that the fact that they were not receiving deeds to "their" stolen properties, it was a matter of time before they ALL end up being kicked off those stolen GC properties. Their usefulness had ended when the Orams lost their case back when, which has caused a lot of problems for the "trnc" and Turkey, as well as ALL those who bought stolen GC land, including many Morally Corrupted TCs. These Carpetbaggers has caused enough trouble for them, so the sooner they are "ethnically cleansed" from the north, it will be that much easier to reach a settlement between the TCs and the GCs.

Just one more thing. As these Carpetbagger's names start appearing in court cases and the newspapers, they will then become defendants (targets) themselves, to be charged with trespassing on the GCs properties in the north. They will then be served court papers by the GCs owners, and when these Carpetbaggers get kicked out from the north back to the UK, there will no longer be any sanctuary for them to hide. They will get screwed coming and going. First by the TCs for taking their money without giving any deeds to them (not even fake ones ), and then by the GCs in legal cases against them. But they should look on the bright side. At least they had some fun in the sun in Cyprus. An expensive one, but that's what criminals deserve. :D

Of course work is not that easy to find in the current situation unless you have some skill to offer.

What skill does a carpetbagger have to offer?
